UFLI Activities and Support
The UFLI Foundations™️ Curriculum is exceptional for foundational phonics. Here are some resources I've put together to help in implementation, particularly with independent work and centers. These activities are NOT to replace any component of the lessons as provided in the manual.

Resources for UFLI Heart Words
Spelling Practice
Please make sure the students segment the word into phonemes first. This is not just a skill of memorization, but of connecting the phoneme (sound) to the grapheme (letter or letters that represent that sound). The students will only have to memorize the tricky parts "by heart."
The computerized voice is not always clear. Please listen to the sentence!

The following games are anagrams. As such, they cannot contain the two letter words.

Spot the Match Game
Like the popular Spot-It Game, each card has exactly one match to every other card. There are 20 cards under the black box. Pull a card out to make it visible. To play with two players, deal one card to each player (each side of the board). When you are comfortable with your words, pull out another card. Whoever see the word that matches a word from his top card first gets to win that card and put it on top of his pile. Play continues until all cards are used. The winner is the one with the most cards at the end.
